Safety Matters

Marion County, in partnership with the Ocala Marion Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), created the Safety Matters initiative to remind the community of roadway safety. The Safety Matters Series is a community-driven effort dedicated to promoting roadway safety across Marion County. This collaborative initiative underscores the importance of protecting all roadway users, including drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.

In partnership with 14 key stakeholders, the Safety Matters initiative engaged the community through education and awareness, reminding everyone of their shared responsibility in fostering safer roadways. Over the course of ten episodes, the series featured a variety of important safety topics and highlighted the collaborative efforts of our elected officials, local partners, and first responders throughout Marion County.
